Q?
Why is the the air-con leaking water?
-
A.
Normal air-conditioning system will have water condensate in the indoor unit (Fan-Coil) & flow out through a drainage pipe. If the drainage pipe is chocked, water will start to leak. When the unit freezes up, water will start to leak too. Call a qualified technician to rectify the problem.

Q?
Why is my air-con not cold?
-
A.
- The blower and air filter is dirty and clogged with dust
- The thermostat is set too high
- The unit is undersize
- The orientation of the room (e.g. facing direct sunlight)
- The refrigerant gas needs to be topped up
-
Q?
Why does the indoor unit freeze up?
-
A.
Due to lack of refrigerant. Faulty capacitor or fan motor. It may simply need to carry out chemical overhauling, due to indoor coil choked.
-
Q?
Why is the air-con noisy?
-
A.
- The spare part might be faulty and needs to be changed
- The blower and fan-coil may be dirty
- Vibration noise due to uneven wall surface
-
Q?
Why is my air-con unit producing a foul smell?
-
A.
This could be due to the smell of cigarettes, odours or other air pollutants being absorbed into the unit and thus being discharged with the air flow.
-
Q?
Why does the air-con need chemical overhauling?
-
A.
When the air-conditioner, condenser & evaporator get badly chocked, (internal & external) normal servicing can't improve the condition. Chemical overhaul need to be applied. The unit needs to be dismantled & strip part by part. Apply the coil with chemical & wash out with water.
